Aviation safety is a dynamic concept, since flying involves operating sophisticated equipment in unforgiving environments. In addition, new safety hazards and risks are continuously emerging and need to be mitigated.
This course gives a basic overview of aviation safety. It first explains the concept of safety in the aviation domain and the main causes of aviation accidents, before covering safety risk management systems that organisations can put in place to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
No background aviation knowledge is required.
